Chipotle Dip or as Matt calls it ‘Chipotle Muy Bueno’!!

No matter who is playing, this dip is the perfect accompaniment to a winning game day spread.

Happy Super Bowl Sunday! You would be surprised to learn that we are in fact not Patriot fans…Matt is a huge Giants fan. So we are in fact rooting for the Seahawks! Before you go ahead and close out this window with my honest admission ;), I would encourage you to keep reading to learn about our Chipotle Dip. No matter who is playing, this dip is the perfect accompaniment to a winning game day spread.

Matt has been making this smoky creamy peppery dip for over 10 years and has been requested as the dish we bring to parties and tailgating….well, along with my cookies. ;) And today, we made this to pair with the Slow Cooker Salsa Verde Chicken recipe from NYT to watch the big game.

Here are the ingredients for our Chipotle Dip:

1 /2 cup sour cream

1/2 cup Hellmann's Mayo

1 bar of cream cheese (room temp)

1 can chipotle peppers in adobo sauce

2 tbsp minced garlic

our sea salt

Black pepper

Juice of 1 lime

Handful of Cilantro

2 tbsp dark brown sugar

Directions: Blend up all together in food processor and chill in fridge. Muy bueno!!

Note: Matt has used thick Greek Yogurt at times in place of mayonnaise. It makes you feel slightly better eating it, but today, we are quite frankly going all in. Enjoy the game!
